Reflective logs for driving instructors
Reflective logs are an important tool for ADI’s and are beneficial for client centred learning to help the pupil reflect on their progress. By helping the learner to reflect on their goals, what went well and what could they could improve you will be helping them to become a more proficient driver. By writing on the reflective log sheet it helps your learner to process their thoughts and feelings as to how the lesson went and helps to consolidate those thoughts rather than just relying on a verbal discussion. The reflective notes can be written by either the learner/client or the instructor/trainer.

Below, I have developed several different formats for reflective logs and made them available for free download for you to print off to use with your pupils. Although they are free, please note the following conditions:
1. The copyright notice and attribution may not be removed
2. They may be copied by individual ADI’s for use with their own pupils only and may not be sold to, lent or copied for other ADI’s or any other 3rd parties
